CINCINNATI -- Westbound Columbia Parkway, and three eastbound lanes were reopened after being shut down during the Wednesday afternoon rush hour due to a traffic accident.
The collision, which involved multiple vehicles, happened on westbound Columbia Parkway at Kemper Road shortly after 4 p.m.
A minor crash occurred between a tractor trailer and a small car, which halted traffic flow in the westbound lanes, according to traffic unit officers on scene. It caused a moderate backup, and as westbound motorists approached the wreck, they had to stop abruptly. A second collision occurred when a Volkswagen sedan crashed into the rear of a Ford Mustang.
A female driver of the Mustang was injured, and taken to the hospital. The severity of her injuries was not immediately clear.
The cause of the minor collusion between the tractor trailer and car remains unknown.
WCPO reporter Kareen Elgazzar spoke with officers on scene.
