MASON, Ohio -- Authorities of the Warren County Sheriff's and the Ohio State Patrol pulled a car out of a pond in Mason Monday night.
At about 8:30 p.m., authorities believe a male driver was heading northbound on I-71, crossed over the median and traveled southbound on the highway, plowed through a fence, clipped the side of a Super 8 Motel and then dove into the pond
The car ended up in the water behind Thirsty's Oasis Sports Bar, located in the 5500 block of Ohio SR 741 and Kings Mill Road.
When authorities arrived, they found the driver sitting on the bank. He was taken to West Chester Hospital. His condition was not immediately released.
At least one child's seat was found in the back of the sedan, a champagne Toyota. Authorities conducted a search, but believe no one was riding with the man when the wreck happened.
