LEBANON, Ohio -- A Warren County jury found an Indian national guilty Tuesday of gross sexual imposition and other crimes involving three children under 13, Prosecutor David Fornshell announced.
Partosh Kumar, 65, was visiting family in the U.S. this summer. Between June 22 and July 16, three children at a Mason apartment complex reported to their parents that Kumar has followed them and say things like "Are you ready?" and "I want to have sex with you."
Kumar also touched the children's genitals, breasts and thighs and exposed himself to them.
"I'm so proud of those three children for having the courage to tell their stories in open court despite vigorous cross-examination, and I'm very grateful to the jury for their role in holding the defendant responsible for his reprehensible actions," Fornshell said.
Kumar, who was scheduled to return to India in August, was found guilty of eight counts of gross sexual imposition, two counts of importuning, four counts of attempted gross sexual imposition and six counts of public indecency.
Warren County Common Pleas Judge Donald Oda will sentence Kumar later this month.
