CLEARCREEK TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- An 18-year-old died Thursday night in a hit-and-run crash on Lytle-Five Points Road, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said Skyler Ludington, an 18-year-old Botkins resident, was walking westbound on West Lytle-Five Points Road when Dayton driver Robert Pietrantonio, 55, struck and killed him.
Pietrantonio didn't stop; he drove to his Montgomery County home, where troopers found him.
"He thought he hit a deer and continued on," Sgt. James Sparkman told WCPO news partner the Journal-News.
Police believe alcohol was a factor in the incident and are working to learn more. Ludington was visiting his father for Thanksgiving, according to the Journal-News.
