DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Deputies arrested a Hamilton man Tuesday morning who they say stole a woman's purse at a restaurant, then ran to a nearby hotel.
Brian Hacker allegedly took the woman's purse while she was dining at the Chick-fil-A eatery on Merten Drive earlier that morning. Hacker then led an off-duty police officer on a chase to the Mason Inn, located in the 9700 block of Mason Montgomery Road.
Deputies found Hacker in a room of the hotel, where they arrested him.
Investigation revealed Hacker previously entered a nearby Waffle House through the back door, and tried to steal unknown items while inside.
Deputies took Hacker to the Warren County Jail, and charged him with robbery and breaking and entering.
