Voters say 'no' to West Clermont school levy

CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio - For the third time, voters in the West Clermont Local School District defeated a property tax levy request.

Voters on Tuesday rejected the latest levy with 60.3 percent opposed to the measure, and 39.7 percent in support.

The 7.9 mills levy would've lasted for 10 years. If approved, the funds would've been used for emergency requirements of the school district.

The levy would've cost the owner of a $100,000 home about $242 annually.
