Local soldier found dead in Colo. hotel

CINCINNATI - A visitation will be held Tuesday for a soldier from the Tri-State found murdered in a hotel room in Colorado on Valentine's Day.

The flight carrying the casket of Sgt. Kimberly Walker was delayed Tuesday morning due to weather. The flight was re-scheduled and is now due to arrive at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Family and friends of Sgt. Kimberly Walker held a vigil on Monday night where she was remembered as a beautiful, kind and loving person.

Walker was an Iraq war veteran based out of Fort Riley, Kansas. On Valentine's Day, the 28-year-old was found murdered in a hotel room in Colorado Springs.  She was visiting her boyfriend who is a soldier based in Colorado.  He is now under arrest facing charges for her murder.

The visitation will still be held at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 745 Ezzard Charles Drive. A funeral service will follow at noon. The burial will take place on Wednesday at Spring Grove Cemetery at 11 a.m.
