CINCINNATI - Sunday is Veterans Day, but groups, families and individuals across the Tri-State are looking forward to spending the entire weekend celebrating, remembering and honoring the brave men and women who've defended this country.

DAV Celebrates Veterans Day by Honoring Veterans at Ft. Thomas Domiciliary

WHAT: Luncheon to serve those veterans under the care of Ft. Thomas Domiciliary.

WHEN: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

WHERE: Ft.  Thomas Domiciliary, 1000 S. Ft. Thomas Ave., Ft. Thomas, KY 41075 Pavilion

Military and Veterans Special at Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum

WHAT: Active military and veterans will receive free admission. Military ID or discharge papers must be shown.

WHEN: Friday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

WHERE: Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum, 100 Joe Nuxhall Way, Cincinnati, OH 45202

Salute to Veterans

WHAT: There will patriotic performances by the Cincinnati Boychoir and the Queen City Concert Band. A Cookie and punch reception will follow. Free tours of Memorial Hall will also be available.

WHEN: 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Free Meals for Veterans at Bayou Fish House

WHAT: Free meal (with purchase of a side item and drink) for veterans and current service members. Recipients must have military ID and/or wear military T-shirts, hats or pins. Reservation is required.
WHEN: 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Veterans Appreciation and Welcome Home Celebration

WHAT: A One-hour scenic train ride. Conductors will describe railroad history, operations and local history.

WHEN: 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.

Veterans Day at Newport Aquarium

WHAT: Free admission to veterans and active military personnel. Show military IDs or discharge papers at ticket window to receive free tickets and discounts. Family members can receive $3 off, $2 off child ticket.

Blue Ash Veterans Day Ceremony

WHAT: Students from Edwin H. Green Intermediate School place wreaths, the Ohio Military Band performs, there is a presentation of written works in honor of holiday.

WHEN:  11 a.m.

WHERE: Bicentennial Veterans Memorial Park

Veterans Day Ceremony

WHAT: All active and retired members of military receive 50-percent discount.

WHEN: 11 a.m.

WHERE: The Pub At Rookwood Mews

HanoverTownship, in Hamilton Ohio Veterans Day Ceremony

WHAT: ButlerCounty Sheriff's Office Pipe and Drum Corps, trumpeters from Talawanda High School and ceremonial wreath dedication. This is a reception for veterans at Community Center across from park.

Veteran Day at Creation Museum

WHAT: Free admission to all retired members of the military. A state-of-the-art 60,000-square foot museum of the Bible is available to visit.

Salute To Veterans – Fort Thomas

WHAT: Scale models depicting Civil War-Modern Day, diorama depicting American soldiers during WWII, re-enactors, food at Army Field Kitchen, military vehicles will be on display.

Honoring Our U.S. Veterans

WHAT: Patriotic performances by bugle player Donald Sutherland, 761st U.S. Air Force Band, and Three Men and a Piano, a barbershop quartet.

Florence Veterans Day

WHAT: Honoring veterans of all wars. City will recognize the Boone County Jaycees essay contest winner.

WHEN: 2 p.m.

Highlands Cemetery Veterans Day Memorial Service

WHAT: Highlighting veterans from Desert Storm, Afghanistan and Iraq.  There will be a precession of veterans, posting of colors, and placing wreaths.

Veterans Park Veterans Day Ceremony

WHAT:  Unveiling and roll calling of sixty veteran names to the Wall of Honor Monument. 

WHEN: 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.

OVER-THE-RHINE Veterans Day Memorial Service

WHAT:Program at new monument built to replace original Mohawk Honor Roll on Nov. 18, 1948 honoring 607 men and women World War II veterans from neighborhood.   Naval Color Guard will be in attendance. A memorial wreath will be placed.

WHAT: Program includes a 21-gun salute and the playing of Taps at the service
