CINCINNATI -- A traffic accident on eastbound Ft. Washington Way (US 50) to I-471 S blocked the road's left lane early Thursday, pinned a vehicle against the median wall, but caused no serious injuries.
The male driver of the tanker truck did not notice the SUV traveling next to him, and drove over into her path.
Police believe the driver of the SUV sideswiped the wall as she traveled east on Ft. Washington. Her contact with the wall, or a previous incident caused her vehicle to lose its lights.
Police said the woman, whose name was not immediately released, either fell out of the SUV or was ejected in the crash.
An ambulance had took the woman to University of Cincinnati Medical Center at about 6:20 a.m. Police said her injuries were non-life-threatening.
The force of the collision pushed the hood of the tanker truck open, but the driver was able to exit his truck unharmed.
Traffic was briefly slowed down during the morning's rush hour, but there were no significant delays on Ft. Washington Way.
