CINCINNATI -- Police are searching for the person they believe is responsible for two separate shooting incidents that took place Wednesday near the same intersection in Avondale.
Investigators said both shootings happened around 2 p.m. near the intersection of Wilson and Forest avenues.
A witness who wished to remain anonymous said he heard four gunshots, ran outside and saw a black SUV traveling the wrong way down Wilson Avenue before it crashed into a parked car. The collision caused a domino effect, leading to a Ford F-150 truck being hit as well. Investigators say the person inside the SUV was shot in the neck.
Another victim was shot in the leg during a separate incident.
Police at the scene said the victims, both men whose identities were not released, ran to the same home seeking help. The relationship between the victims and the people inside the home has not been determined.
Both injuries were treated as non life-threatening.
It's unclear if either victim provided suspect information to investigators. But police told 9 On Your Side reporter Amy Wadas they believe both men were shot by the same person.
The shootings, which are being handled as separate incidents, remain under investigation.
