CINCINNATI - A Milford company will open a new facility in Westwood and create 80 new jobs as part of a tax credit deal approved this week by Cincinnati City Council.
Total Quality Logistics will hire 80 people under the Job Creation Tax Credit deal.
TQL will open a 10,452-square-foot sales and service support center in a vacant portion of the Glenway Crossing Shopping Center. This new location gives TQL access to a labor pool largely untapped by the company today, said Cincinnati officials.
To receive the 50 percent tax credit over a five-year period, TQL agreed to create 80 new jobs within three years and remain in the city for 10 years.
The company's payroll will increase to over $3 million after hiring the workers.
The deal brings nearly $600,000 in net new tax revenue to Cincinnati over the course of the 10-year deal.
TQL is the nation's second-largest freight brokerage firm. It specializes in arranging the transportation of full truckload shipments for thousands of companies across the nation.
