CINCINNATI - On May 11, hundreds of volunteers will fan out across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky to make home repairs.

The event is 31st annual Repair Affair, organized by People Working Cooperatively (PWC). The City of Cincinnati is sponsoring the initiative, which takes place every spring.

PWC is seeking people who are "handy around the house" to roll up their sleeves and pitch in. PWC staff and volunteers complete simple and extensive home repairs to help local residents live safely in their homes.

The repairs include:

  • roofing
  • carpentry
  • plumbing
  • electrical work

In 2012, 900 volunteers provided critical home repairs for more than 100 low-income, elderly and disabled homeowners.
