WORTHINGTON, Ohio - Officials have located an 83-year-old woman Thursday morning who was missing for more than seven hours.
Authorities in Upper Sandusky found Bessie Bowman, an 83-year-old from Worthington, Ohio, at about 7 a.m. Thursday. She was last seen at about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday when she was pulled over by a Marion County Sheriff for a routine traffic stop. Bowman told the officer she was driving to South Carolina, which spurred a search in the Tri-State.
Officials said Bowman has been diagnosed with early stages of dementia and short-term memory problems.
Authorities have not released any additional information about where Bowman was found or if she sustained any injuries while she was missing.
