CINCINNATI - Facebook may be behind many couples' break ups, but for one North College Hill man, it led to his arrest Tuesday night.
Police arrested 27-year-old Shawn Salamone at his home in the 1400 block of Foxwood Drive at about 10:30 p.m. after he allegedly pointed a gun at his live-in girlfriend. The offense came after Salamone got upset with something he saw on his girlfriend's Facebook page.
After seeing Facebook, Salamone allegedly sent his girlfriend a text message saying if she returned to the house, he would shoot her. When the girlfriend — whose name has not yet been released — got to the house, Salamone pointed a gun at her, according to police.
The girlfriend did not sustain any injuries in the altercation.
Officials did not say what Salamone saw on the Facebook page that upset him.
Salamone was charged with domestic violence. A judge released him on his own recognizance when he appeared in a Hamilton County courtroom Wednesday morning.
