Police: Homeowner fires at suspects during Franklin Township home invasion

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Franklin Township police are looking for the culprits of a home invasion that resulted in a physical altercation between the suspects and the residents of the home early Saturday morning.

Police responded to a call at 8120 Franklin Madison Road at 6:45 a.m. after receiving notification that two men had entered the home at that address and demanded money from the homeowners.

One of the homeowners retrieved a pistol and fired a single shot at one of the suspects, police say. Police have indicated that the suspect may have been shot and sustained non life-threatening injuries as a result of the altercation.

One of the suspects involved in the case is believed to have been armed with a handgun during the offense.

Both suspects fled the residence without further incident, police say.

One of the suspects is being described by police as between 30 to 35 years old, around 5 feet 8 inches tall, with brown hair and facial hair. He was wearing a dark hooded shirt with dark pants that are believed to be jeans.

The other suspect is described as in his late 20s or mid 30s, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing around 160 pounds, wearing a gray knit cap, a "puffy" jacket and had a thick mustache.
