MOUNT HEALTHY, Ohio - A night of frivolity turned into terror for a teenage bystander who was shot Saturday while attending a festival in Mount Healthy.
The incident took place around 11 p.m. at a park near the Church of the Assumption Festival held at 7700 Perry Street, according to police. Reports from the scene indicate that approximately 300 people were in the area at the time of the shooting.
Emergency crews transported the 14-year-old girl to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment. The exact nature of the victim's injuries was not immediately available but law enforcement officials described them as "non life-threatening."
Police said they are actively searching for two shooters who they describe as African-American males.
