COLERAIN Twp. -- Police arrested a Colerain Township woman Thursday after an officer found two 18-month-olds left alone in "unlivable conditions" inside her home.

Brittany Roark, 32, was taken into custody after police say they found her 18-month-old twins inside her home in the 9600 block of Manhattan Drive.

The responding officer said he looked inside a window at Roark’s home and saw one toddler without clothing and another toddler with only a diaper on. They were walking around on top of dirt, food, clothes, garbage and animal waste, according to police reports.

Roark has three other children but they were not home when police were called, according to officials.

Police requested the children be removed from the home but were not immediately available to comment on where they were taken.

Roark has been charged with two counts of child endangering and her bond was set at $10,000 Friday morning.
