Police: 2 people shot in North Fairmount

CINCINNATI - Police say two people were shot during a gun battle in North Fairmount Monday afternoon.

The incident began at the Fay Apartments at about 4:30 p.m. and ended near the intersection of Baltimore Avenue and Carll Street, according to officials.

Police say between 10 and 20 shots were fired.

The two male victims, whose names have not been released, were driven to the hospital before an ambulance could arrive at the scene.

Police say it is not clear if the victims were bystanders or were involved in the gun battle at this time.

The shootings remain under investigation.
