FORT WRIGHT, Ky. - No bomb was found Thursday evening after police in Northern Kentucky investigated a threat made against a local Walmart.
Fort Wright police responded to the Walmart Supercenter located at 3450 Valley Plaza Parkway at about 8:45 p.m. Thursday evening after receiving a call that a threat had been made against the store.
Police say an anonymous male called the store to report a bomb was inside the store. Representatives from the store then called Fort Wright police to inform them of the situation.
Police evacuated all employees and customers from the store so that the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport Police bomb K9 squad could conduct a thorough search of the building.
Bomb-sniffing dogs searched the building and found no explosive devices.
The store was re-opened at approximately 9:45 p.m. after police were confident the building was secure.
This incident remains under investigation by police.
