1 stabbed, 1 shot in Covington

COVINGTON, Ky. -- One man was stabbed and another shot in Covington late Sunday after an argument escalated, according to police.
The incident happened at about 11 p.m. when a man pulled up to a stop light on 11th Street and got into a verbal altercation with another man who was standing on the sidewalk.
One of the men pulled out a knife, the other a gun, according to police.
Officials say both men were injured, one with stab wounds and the other with gunshot wounds.
They were taken to a local hospital where their conditions have not been released.

SWAT standoff in Delhi after man pulls knife
DELHI, Ohio -- A man was taken into custody early Monday after police say he pulled on knife on them while they were performing a wellness check.
The incident happened at a residence on Pamerston Drive.
Police say they came to the home to check on the man when he pulled a knife on them and threatened to commit suicide.
Three other men living in the home were evacuated.
Officials were able to calm the man down and he was later taken into custody.
He will be charged with inducing panic.
Person ejected from vehicle after crash in Erlanger
ERLANGER, Ky. -- A person was ejected from his or her vehicle early Monday after a crash, according to police.
The crash happened at about 5:30 a.m. in the 4300 block of Dixie Highway and Cave Run Drive.
Officials say the driver struck a pole at some point but the investigation is ongoing.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
