CINCINNATI - A new luxury hotel in downtown Cincinnati offering art fans some eye candy celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting Monday morning.
The 21C Museum Hotel located at 609 Walnut Street is a combination of a boutique hotel, contemporary art museum and restaurant.
The boutique hotel replaced the former Metropole Apartments, a low income property. It will house 156 rooms. The $56 million project opened its Metropole restaurant earlier this month.
A ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening happened at 10 a.m. Monday morning. Mayor Mark Mallory joined the hotel's CEO and architect for the grand opening. Rooms are available starting Nov. 27.
