CINCINNATI - Cincinnati's new downtown casino is still seeking qualified applicants for its ongoing push to hire Tri-State employees.
Only about a third of the more than 1,700 workers at the new Horseshoe Cincinnati Casino have been hired, the AP reports.
The nearly 1,000 positions still available include cashiers, cocktail servers and security. Casino officials say they'll hold hiring events for the rest of those positions over the next two months and expect to be done by February.
Hundreds of dealers are undergoing training now at the Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati, which is almost complete. Newly posted positions include more than 450 jobs in the casino's food and beverage operations .
Applicants must be at least 21 years old, be a high school graduate or possess a GED equivalent and provide prior work history. Resumes are not required but may prove helpful in the screening process.
Job seekers must also be flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays and be willing to submit to all pre-employment requirements including a criminal background check, drug test and regulatory licensing requirements.
