WEST CHESTER, Ohio -- This Valentine's Day, your Romeo has four legs, a tail, and is among more than 500 adoptable pets that need forever homes.

My Furry Valentine, to be held in West Chester, will bring puppies, kittens, dogs and cats together for a two-day adoption event. The animals come from about 50 rescue organizations and shelters of the Tri-State.

My Furry Valentine puts them all in one place, so that anyone who wants a new furry friend around Valentine's Day has hundreds to choose from - the perfect way to find the perfect match.

For all pets that get adopted, their new friend will receive a bag of pet supplies, including a collar and leash, and the chance to win an "Adopter Raffle Basket." Each basket contains $100 - $500 worth of pet needs.

Parking and admission are free. My Furry Valentine will run Saturday, Feb. 15, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 16, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. It's located at 8494 Firebird Drive, in a 50,000 square-foot warehouse, so My Furry Valentine has no worry about inclement weather.

Food and drinks will be on sale.

Event organizers ask that other pets be left at home, unless adopters want to introduce them to a new pet to make sure they get along. Several items to consider bringing to apply for adoption include a driver's license, lease agreement and landlord's contact information.
