CINCINNATI - Teens seeking summer employment got some assistance at Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory's annual youth job fair Thursday.
The 8th Annual Mayor's Youth Job Fair was held at Duke Energy Center, 525 Elm St. from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday. There were about 200 jobs up for grabs for young adults between ages 16 and 24 years old.
"The economy is growing again. Companies are hiring. And we need to make sure that our young people can share that turnaround. That is why I am calling on local businesses to partner with me and participate in our Youth Job Fair," Mallory said his website.
Between 50 and 100 employers attended the job fair. Also, local community organizations were at the fair to share information about education and training.
"Putting young people to work is one of the most important things that we can do to help them get on the right track for a productive career," Mallory said on the site.
