The town of Kokomo, Indiana, suffered serious structural damage as a result of an EF3 tornado. A local ministry group is making the trek to central Indiana to lend a helping hand.
Matthew 25 Ministries, of Blue Ash, is bringing truckloads of tarps, cleaning products, personal care kits and paper products to neighborhoods hit hardest by the tornado.
The tornado was an EF3 with winds reaching 165 mph, according to the NWS. It completely destroyed the Kokomo Starbucks.
The winds also blew off rooftops, damaged homes and knocked tree limbs to the ground, WCPO sister station WRTV reported.
