A man has been arrested for his role in a fatal July accident in Whitewater Township.
One person died following a head-on crash on OH 128 and police have charged Dennis Alsip, Jr., 19, of Cleves, with aggravated vehicular homicide for his involvement in the wreck.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says a 1993 Ford Explorer driven by Alsip was traveling south near Morgan Road on July 16 when Alsip failed to maintain control of his vehicle as he passed Morgan Road, went left of center and struck a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Lisa Hasting, 22, also of Cleves.
Hasting was transported to University Hospital by a medical helicopter. She died two days after the crash.
Alsip was also taken to University Hospital, where he recovered from his injuries.
Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash, according to the sheriff's office.
Investigators say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
An arraignment date has not yet been set for Alsip.
