LEBANON, Ohio (AP) -- A man accused of fatally beating a 16-year-old Dayton teenager is scheduled to enter day three of his trial Wednesday.
Jurors were selected Monday in a Warren County court for the trial of 40-year-old Michael Watson of Franklin. Watson is charged with aggravated murder, kidnapping, aggravated robbery, rape and tampering with evidence.
Authorities say Watson and another man fatally beat 16-year-old Dione Payne, of Dayton, in an attempt to steal drugs and money from him in Franklin. Payne was left at a hospital Dec. 1 and died.

On Tuesday, Payne's mother, Tamiko Payne, said her son had been so badly beaten that it looked like he had been in a boxing match, according to Journal-News.
She testified that because of her son's injuries, she had to identify him by the tattoos on his arm.
Watson showed little emotion in the courtroom on Tuesday when photos of the bloody and beaten Dione Payne were shown on a large screen to jurors, but later he wept beside his attorney during a morning break.
Debbie Kalp, a nurse at Atrium, told jurors she was on duty the night Dione Payne was dropped off at the hospital and pointed to Watson in the courtroom as the person who wheeled him into the emergency department.
Watson could be sentenced to life in prison without parole if convicted of aggravated murder.
Court officials say the other defendant, Michael Geldrich, pleaded guilty to charges including aggravated murder. He'll be sentenced later.
