Latonya Colbert: Hearing in vehicular homicide case rescheduled

CINCINNATI - A hearing in a vehicular homicide case  was rescheduled Wednesday.

Latonya Colbert, 39, was traveling westbound in a 2006 Chevrolet Impala in the 1500 block of Hopple Street on Feb. 12 when she drove left of center and struck an eastbound 2003 Kia Spectra driven by Tony Smith, 57, according to police.

Police said Smith was extricated from his vehicle by the Cincinnati Fire Department and was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he died.

Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt  in the crash and alcohol was a factor, according to officials.

A Hamilton County grand jury indicted Colbert on two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide.

She is being held on $100,000 bond after her arraignment July 13.
