Police: Covington man charged with DUI after hitting house

TAYLOR MILL, Ky. – A man faces a DUI charge after he drove his car into a house and then tried to flee the scene Sunday morning, according to police in Kenton County.

By Sunday afternoon, William Wagner of Covington posted bail after being taken to the Kenton County Detention Center and charged for striking the residence on Taylor Mill Road.

Wagner was also charged with wanton endangerment and assault on a police officer.

Wagner tried to leave the scene and kicked an officer, police said.

People were at home sleeping at the time of the crash. No one was injured.

The extent of damage to the house was not immediately clear.
