Cops: Man robs Fort Wright Bank of Kentucky, escapes with cash

FORT WRIGHT, Ky. – Police are looking for a man they say robbed a Fort Wright Bank of Kentucky Wednesday.

Authorities say the man, in his 20s or 30s, robbed the bank in the 1800 block of Ashwood Circle at about 2:50 p.m. and left with an unknown amount of cash.

The man, who has a medium build with brown hair and a thin beard, did not display a weapon, police said.

He was wearing dark glasses, a grey shirt, light blue jean shorts and tennis shoes at the time of the robbery.

Officials said another man dropped the suspect off at the bank in a light green, 2006 or newer Toyota four-door vehicle.

The driver is described as tall and thin with a tattoo of a star on the left side of his face. He drove away from the scene after parking at a nearby business, police said.

The other man ran from the bank after the robbery on Ashwood Circle and possibly north on Dixie Highway, authorities said.

The Fort Wright Police Department is asking anyone with information about this case to call Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
