COVINGTON, Ky. -- As the spirit of Christmas sweeps the Tri-State, some local volunteers gave back in a big way.
Volunteers served a Christmas meal to about 2,000 people at the Covington Convention Center on Wednesday.
In addition to the meal, several local companies donated things scarves, gloves and toys for children.
The volunteers said that’s what Christmas is all about
“I believe in spirit of Christmas (and) spreading the gift of kindness,” volunteer Deondre Graham said.
Organizers said more than 400 volunteers pitched in to make the dinner possible.
