Eight vehicles crashed Saturday, shutting down Brent Spence Bridge
A couple who was literally overturned in a scary car accident last weekend returned home Wednesday with an unforgettable story to tell.
t was not clear how many people may be hurt, but a witness said the driver of the car that flipped from the upper deck walked away from the crash.
A highway official was called to Brent Spence Bridge to inspect the safety of the structure before crews reopened it.

The crash involved eight cars, and shut down the Brent Spence Bridge for hours .

April McDonald and her fiancé, Jarrett Holifield, were inside the car that launched from one ramp of I-75 down to the one below.
"I closed my eyes and I just opened them when we were already on the other bridge," McDonald said.
Four days later, the couple was able to relax at home with their young son.
"It's a blessing," McDonald said. "I'm just glad we made it out."
