COVINGTON, Ky. -- A man is in police custody after authorities said he struck a juvenile with a vehicle in Covington.
The crash happened at about 7 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of 15th Street and Madison Avenue.
Officers said a witness called police and watched as the driver sped off.
The juvenile was treated for minor injuries at the scene but was taken to St. Elizabeth North hospital to be checked out.
Police said the stopped the driver near 12th and Greenup streets shortly after the incident.
He was arrested on charges of leaving the scene of an accident and no operator’s license.
