COVINGTON – The jury trial of a Sardina resident facing manslaughter and DUI charges stemming from a 2011 vehicular homicide was set to begin Wednesday in a Kenton County courtroom.
Aaron Taylor is accused of causing the death of John Noe, 61, of Batavia, on Nov. 3, 2011, when Taylor swerved into Noe’s lane on eastbound I-275 in Northern Kentucky.
Noe, in turn, plunged his Ford Escort off the Interstate overpass in Fort Wright while attempting to avoid the collision, police report. The incident occurred in a construction zone.
Noe was pronounced dead on the scene.
Blood alcohol tests later confirmed Taylor was drinking and driving over the legal limit, police said.
The Kenton County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office is prosecuting the case.
