Behle Street Cafe
COVINGTON, Ky. -- The Behle Street Café in Covington has closed after almost 20 years in business.
Owner Shawn Thomas said it’s, “one of the toughest decisions I’ve had to make.”
Thomas cited the loss of two major businesses in Covington, development of The Banks and Over-the-Rhine and lack of development in Covington as the primary reasons for the decision.
“We just couldn’t keep up. Although great for Cincinnati, not so good for Covington,” Thomas said in a release.
General Manager Sheli Truss Karim thanked her loyal customers and said, “It’s a very difficult time for us and very hard to say good bye to so many people who have been there for me and have watched me grow.”
The café was located at 50 E. Rivercenter Blvd. and online at behlestreetcafe.com.
