Kasich to attend JobsOhio session at Freedom Center

CINCINNATI (AP) - Gov. John Kasich will take part in a Cincinnati meeting of the board of the state's new private job-creation partnership.
The session Wednesday afternoon will be at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
The governor last week announced an agreement between the state budget and commerce departments to transfer Ohio's liquor business to JobsOhio for the next 25 years. The deal is worth $1.4 billion. The state Commerce Department is to continue to distribute and sell liquor in Ohio.
Among JobsOhio board members are Ohio State University president Gordon Gee and Procter & Gamble Co. CEO Bob McDonald.
The Republican governor in his second year of office is gearing up for a Feb. 7 State of the State message he will deliver in the eastern Ohio city of Steubenville.
