Letter by young Bengals fan: 'I hope that Steeler player loses his house and has to live in his car'

CINCINNATI -- One young Bengals fan isn't too happy with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Nicholas Andrew Johnson, 7, wrote a letter to Cincinnati Bengals' punter Kevin Huber, who fractured his jaw and cracked a vertebrae in his neck after a hit by Pittsburgh Steelers' linebacker Terence Garvin Sunday night.

Johnson's dad tweeted the letter that read:

"Dear Kevin,

I hope you feel better soon. I am mad at the Steelers because you are my #1 player. I am 7 years old and love the Bengals and Bearcats. I know you played for the Bearcats and Bengals and I love the teams. I hope that Steeler player loses his house and has to live in his car.

Get well soon,

Nicholas Andrew Johnson."

Johnson's letter has gained national attention, but some have said the message was a bit too harsh coming from a 7-year-old.

Johnson's dad, with Twitter handle @16ozbud , has since retracted the post of the letter, and said he regrets the notoriety it received.

"We wish a long, healthy career for Mr. Garvin. My son wrote the words, but didn't fully comprehend the implicit meaning." he tweeted Tuesday morning. "I thought it was cute, but regret that the letter gained the notoriety it did. I take responsibility, but wish to move on."
