CINCINNATI - Santa Claus arrived Friday morning at Macy's Fountain Place in downtown Cincinnati, but the jolly old soul will get a bit extreme on Saturday.

That's when Santa Claus will rappel down the side of the building at 525 Vine St. onto Macy's rooftop.

Kris Kringle's derring-do will be on display for passersby at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. A fireworks display will occur after the feat.

The rappelling and fireworks will happen every Saturday at the same time through Christmas Day.

After his rappeling, Santa will appear at Macy's on Fridays and Saturdays, from Nov. 23-Dec. 21, between 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

Also, Santa will appear on Sundays, from Nov. 24-Dec. 23, between noon-6 p.m.

People can bring their own cameras and snap free photographs with downtown's only Santa in a festive North Pole setting.

Additionally, story time with Mrs. Claus will occur on the third floor at Macy's Fountain Place on Saturday, immediately following the fireworks.
