Police ID man killed in Springfield Township shooting, crash

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A man is dead after a shooting and crash outside a Springfield Township home Tuesday.

Authorities said the shooting victim, 27-year-old Anthony Hinton was sitting in a parked car in the 10000 block of Sprucehill Drive when two men walked up to him and fired shots in the vehicle at about 5:30 p.m.

The victim then crashed into a nearby home, officials said. He was shot in the head and pronounced dead at Mercy Health in Fairfield.
Both shooters ran away from the scene and jumped over a fence, police said.
Authorities said they don’t have a good description of either man.
Neighbors told WCPO reporter Amy Wadas that they've had enough crime, and one woman said she even plans on moving because she said Tuesday's shooting marks the second crime involving a gun in her neighborhood within two weeks. Her 5-year-old son saw the incident happen.
