SHARONVILLE, Ohio - A weekend event in Sharonville raised more than $32,000 for cancer research.

The Relay for Life of Sharonville and Surrounding Communities featured 34 teams consisting of 239 participants that took turns walking around the track at Princeton High School from 2 p.m. Saturday until 7 a.m. Sunday.

The annual event raised $32,212.20 during the 17-hour event. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.

Event organizers also raised money by partnering with local branches of eateries like LaRosa's, Chick-fil-a and City Barbeque. The restaurants agreed to donate portions of their sales on specific days to the cause.
