Colerain Township police: Man in silver Volvo sought after Northgate mall theft, high-speed chase

CINCINNATI -- A search is on for a man accused of leading police on a high-speed chase after stealing more than $900 worth of merchandise from a Tri-State department store.

Police say a man entered the Macy’s at Northgate Mall on Sunday afternoon and took several hundred dollars worth of unspecified items. When someone caught on to what he was doing, police officers in the area attempted to pursue him on foot.

After a brief foot chase, the suspect got into what was described as a silver Volvo and drove off.

Pursuing officers chased after him in police cruisers but lost him in an area near Colerain Avenue and Ronald Reagan Highway.

A Colerain Township dispatcher said police are looking for a man named Bryant Alexander.

Investigators are attempting to track down the Volvo. It has temporary tags (No. Z121153) displayed in its rear window, according to the dispatcher.

No other information is available.
