Montgomery

The city of Montgomery has scheduled the annual Recycling Sculpture Contest.

According to a city news release,"This annual Recycling Sculpture Contest is a means of encouraging recycling and purchasing of items made from, or packaged in, recyclable materials. The contest gives people an opportunity to use their creativity and develop a sculpture that not only educates those who see it about the value of recyclable materials but also allows them to receive a prize for their creativity.

"Artists may enter in any of the following categories: Student [by age group] or Adult. New this year is a French Landmark category. Sculptures should be delivered to Montgomery City Hall, 10101 Montgomery Road, on Tuesday, July 8, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m."
