Local radio host accused of shooting wife back in jail after protection order violation

MADEIRA, Ohio – A local radio talk show host charged with shooting his wife is back in jail for violating a protection order, officials said.

Blake Seylhouwer -- a host on 55KRC Radio "THE Talk Station in Cincinnati" -- is at the Hamilton County Justice Center for sending a text message to his wife, Misty Seylhouwer, Thursday night, according to an affidavit filed in Hamilton County Municipal Court on Saturday.

Blake is also accused of disabling Wi-Fi service to his wife's cellphone and other devices, as well as cutting off her "financial access" by canceling their credit card.

Authorities said Blake shot Misty with a rifle outside their Madeira home on Aug. 12.

Blake pleaded not guilty the following day, calling the shooting an accident. But authorities disagree, saying he intentionally fired a shot at his wife.

He was given a $500,000 bond at his previous arraignment and was released from jail Aug. 19. At that time, he was ordered to stay away from Misty and their two children, ages 4 and 1.

On Wednesday, Misty filed for divorce, accusing her husband of adultery, extreme cruelty and gross neglect of duty. She is asking for custody of their children and spousal support.

Blake appeared in a court Monday and received a $5,000 bond on charges pending from Thursday's events. The judge also stressed Blake stay away from his wife.
