MADEIRA, Ohio - An 18-year-old claimed responsibility for break-ins at three businesses after police tracked him down early Friday morning during his latest offense.
Madeira police officers were called to the 8100 block of Camargo Road at 12:47 a.m. to investigate an intrusion alarm at an area business. When officers around they found the front door was smashed in, police said.
Officers set up a perimeter and brought in a K9 unit from another agency to assist in the search for the suspect. After a 20-minute search, the unit tracked down and located the suspect in a nearby wooded area.
They also recovered various stolen items, police said.
Jeremy T. Waters, of Madeira, was taken into custody at 1:05 a.m. Police said he also admitted to breaking into two other businesses in the city over the past two weeks.
The suspect is charged with three counts of breaking and entering and one count of possessing criminal tools.
Waters was taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center.
Additional details about the robberies were not released.
