CINCINNATI - A child was rushed to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital on Saturday after an accidental shooting inside a Lincoln Heights home.
Paramedics were called to the 1000 block of Jackson Street at about noon after a caller told an emergency dispatcher that a little girl had shot herself. The child had already been transported to the hospital before emergency personnel arrived at the scene.
The child, who has not been named, is receiving treatment at Children’s Hospital but not much else is known about her condition or what happened inside the home leading up to the accident, police said.
It was the first of two such incidents on Saturday.
Police in Springdale responded to 11515 Princeton Pike in at 12:15 p.m. after receiving reports that a person was hurt after an “accidental shooting” at that location.
Investigators said that person was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Additional details about their condition and identity were not released.
No one had been charged in either incident as of Sunday morning.
Both investigations are ongoing.
