HARRISON, Ohio - Harrison police spent their Sunday morning searching for a man who they say refused to stop his car despite the fact he had a 2-year-old and an infant as passengers.

Investigators say officers attempted to pull over the vehicle on Harrison Avenue when the driver sped up and fled the vehicle on Street State. They say he then ran off into a wooded area.

A K-9 unit was brought to scene but the dog lost the man's scent and the search was called off, authorities said.

Investigators say they know who the suspect is but have not released his name. They did not provide a description of the suspect.

The man is wanted on numerous outstanding warrants including drug charges, failure to comply and driving under suspension.

Additional drug charges could be filed after officers found heroin while searching the vehicle.

A female passenger was also in the vehicle with two young children. The woman's name was not released and it's unclear if she will be charged.
