Police: Young man robbed Green Township bank

GREEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Police are investigating a bank robbery that took place at a bank in Green Township Friday afternoon.

An aggravated robbery took place at the Cheviot Savings Bank at approximately 4:08 p.m. Friday afternoon, police said.

The initial police investigation revealed a young white male entered the bank located at 5550 Cheviot Road, brandished a gun and demanded money.

The suspect fled the bank on foot in an unknown direction with an undisclosed sum of money, according to police.

A K9 unit was deployed to track the suspect. Results of that search have not been revealed.

The alleged bank robber is described as a young white male who stands between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-11, with a thin build, and was last seen wearing a black beanie hat, a surgical mask, sunglasses, blue jeans and a navy blue jacket.

No injuries were reported.
