CINCINNATI -- One person has been arrested and warrants are issued for two others after an 84-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint for $8 while standing in his driveway.

Vincent Rivers was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery stemming from the incident that occurred about 11:20 p.m. Jan. 19 at the elderly man's home on Glendale-Milford Road in Evendale.

Police say Rivers, 19, Carlos Rowland, 19, and a 17-year-old followed the 84-year-old man home from a Walmart location in the area. Two of the men approached the elderly man on foot as he was unloading groceries from a his shopping trip.

One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the man’s wallet. The victim gave up his wallet, and after taking a handful of cash and dropping the billfold, the two suspects fled to a mid-90’s beige or white Cadillac Eldorado that was parked one house away from where the matter took place.

Investigators say the third man was waiting for the other two men in the car and served as the getaway driver.

Aggravated robbery charges were also filed against Rowland and a 17-year-old on the same charges. Warrants are out for their arrest.

The suspects were identified through surveillance footage and the combined investigative efforts of the Evendale and Forest Park police departments.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Carlos Rowland or additional information about the case is asked to contact the Evendale Police Department at 513.563.2249 or CrimeStoppers at 513-352-3040.
