CINCINNATI -- A pair of robbers got away with nothing to show for their efforts after police say they tried to steal an ATM from Duebber’s Pony Keg.

The attempted robbery happened at about 4 a.m. Thursday at 6095 Cleves Warsaw Pike.

Hamilton County dispatchers said the men broke into the station and tried to pull the ATM out with their SUV.

However, police said the straps broke and the men left with nothing.

Surveillance video at the store captured the theft in progress.

The video shows a silver SUV, which police believe is a GMC Yukon, and two men trying to steal the ATM.

Some of the ATM’s parts were found east of the scene in the 5800 block of Cleves Warsaw Pike.

Officers said the vehicle may bear stolen Ohio license plate FHR7497.

Investigators said the men removed the plate from a vehicle in the parking lot prior to trying to steal the ATM.
