COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A Cincinnati man is accused of causing about $100,000 in damage when police said he stole 19 air conditioning units.
Colerain Township police were called to Wardwood Drive early Friday in response to a report of a theft in progress.
When police got to the scene, they found 23-year-old Joseph Burkhardt and arrested him.
Investigators said Burkardt confessed to stealing 19 A/C units throughout the community in the past month.
The value of the property was put at about $100,000. Officers said the metal from the units was scrapped for cash.
Burkhardt was taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center on theft charges. More charges could be filed.
